Please indicate on the nomination form if your nomination is supported by an IMRF Member organisation.
Each nomination will be assessed by an experienced, international judging panel, all of whom have related SAR industry expertise.
Details of the judges will be announced during the nomination period.
All nominations are accepted on the understanding that the decisions of the judging panel are final.
The IMRF will not enter into correspondence, or dialogue, regarding the decisions of the judges.
Posthumous nominations will be considered but under exceptional circumstances.
Nominations should relate to events/activities that have taken place in the qualifying period (1 July 2024 until 30 June 2025). Nominations for events/activities taking place outside of this period will not be accepted.
It is understood that nominations in the Innovation & Technology category will have had a development period. However, the first practical application of the software/hardware or improved practices must fall within the time period specified.
Nominations for the Lifetime Achievement Award and the #WomenInSAR Award should be for individuals, who were still involved in some capacity in maritime SAR during the qualifying period (1 July 2024 – 30 June 2025).
Nominations must be submitted using the IMRF Awards - Nomination Form.
All nominations should be made in English, using clear, concise and straightforward language. Please avoid using jargon, unexplained abbreviations or acronyms wherever possible.
Nominations that are incomplete, or where the video is over four minutes, may not be accepted.
The IMRF will accept up to three different nominations from the same organisation or individuals across all categories. However, only one nomination per category from the same organisation or individuals.
In the case of the Innovation & Technology Award category, each nomination must be for a markedly different technological, administrative or logistical innovation.
A separate Nomination Form must be completed for each nomination, even if the nominations are for the same award category.
Nominations for the 2025 IMRF Awards close at 23.59 hours (UTC) on Friday, 8 August 2025. The actions of the nomination should have taken place between 1 July 2024 until 30 June 2025.
The IMRF reserves the right to make awards at its own discretion.
