Kpler supports global search and rescue with generous donation to the IMRF The IMRF is delighted to share that Kpler has made a generous $10,000 donation in recognition of the IMRF’s work in the global search and rescue (SAR) community. Kpler, a leading data and analytics platform for trade intelligence, has been an IMRF member for just over a year. After attending the IMRF’s 2024 Annual Meeting in Greece, Kpler was inspired to support the organisation’s mission of improving SAR capabilities worldwide. While they typically donate to local organisations, they saw a strong synergy with the IMRF’s global approach to maritime safety, making this donation a perfect fit. Kpler plays a crucial role in enhancing safety at sea by providing real-time vessel tracking, data-driven insights, and transparency across the maritime industry. Their technology supports SAR efforts by improving situational awareness, enabling faster response times, and enhancing coordination in emergencies, key objectives that align closely with the IMRF’s mission. Caroline Jupe, CEO of the IMRF, said: "We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation from Kpler. As an NGO, support like this is vital. It enables us to unite more SAR organisations, expand our reach, and strengthen rescue capabilities worldwide. The commitment of Kpler to maritime safety aligns closely with our aim, and this donation will help us continue our work in improving global search and rescue efforts. " Eva Martincova from Kpler added: "We are pleased to support the IMRF through this donation. At Kpler, one of the key aspects of our MarineTraffic ship tracking solution is helping to improve safety at sea by providing real-time vessel tracking. This allows for quick identification of potential issues and ensures timely responses in case of emergencies. We recognise the IMRF’s critical role in improving global search and we look forward to continuing our partnership and exploring ways to further enhance maritime safety together." This donation will help the IMRF extend its reach and ensure that life-saving knowledge and best practices are shared worldwide.
