This guidance on delivering Rescue Boat Operator training complements our Basic Rescue Boat Operator Manual, with the idea that the current Basic Rescue Boat Operator Manual is the student guide, and the Search and Rescue Surface Craft Operator Training Guidance is the training course. The purpose of this guidance is twofold; to act as a benchmarking tool for organisations and institutions who currently have this type of training in place, and as a tool for organisations and institutions who don’t currently have this training in place but would like to offer it.
